On Feb. 27th- Mar. 1st the Highland Beta students will be traveling to Louisville to participate  in the annual Beta contest.  They will be entering in a variety of competitions, however the art contest includes the following areas. We have selected the following pieces of artwork to represent Highland Elementary.
In the painting category, Denzel Wood's portrait of a lion will be entered.  See the pic below:

In the area of Charcoal's Denzel Wood's' Tepee will be entered.

In the area of Pen and Ink, Paige Burd's Pointillism Tree will be entered

In the area of Sculpture, Emily Campbell woven basket will be entered.

In the area of wreaths, Reagan Hunley's unique "Heart of Beta" wreath will be entered:

In the area of recycled art, Allie Ward's "Heart of Beta" sculpture made out of coke can lids will be entered:

In the area of Black and White Photography, Kade McFarlin's Logs with Fire will be entered:

In the area of Colored Photography, Kade McFarlin's peacock feathers will be entered:
