Oct. 14th - 18th  Appalachian Unit
     We are continuing our Appalachian Unit by discussing how the immigrants from Scotland traveled once they arrived in American.  We also discussed the items and provisions they would need survive in the wilderness.  The 3rd - 5th graders drew  realistic still life's of a Conestoga wagon and the supplies the Appalachian people would use on a daily basis.  Below are some examples:





The K-- 2nd graders studied about the Cherokee Indians that the early settlers in Appalachia would encounter.  They drew realistic portraits of them. Below is an example
