April 29th - May 3rd.
     This week is a very important one in the life of the arts here at Highland.  On Monday of this week each student grades K-5th will participate in our annual "ARTS EXPLOSION".  The Art explosion is apart of our yearly program review conducted by the State Department of Education.  It states that all students must be allowed to review the work of their peers in the following areas of dance, music, art and drama.  The work that the students will critique has to be student created.  It is wonderful opportunity for the students showcase their talents in all these areas.  Below are some pictures and a video showing this entire process. This culminating event is one of the highlights of the year.
